Culver City Observer -

In the hotly contested second district Supervisorial race Los Angeles City Councilman Herb Wesson will face State Senator Holly Mitchell in a runoff at the general election on November 3. Had either candidate garnered over 50% of the vote they would have been elected outright with no need for a runoff.

Wesson currently holds a slight lead with 32.09% of the vote with Mitchell with 25.51%.

With the large number of mail-in ballots the final totals will know be known for serveral days.
