Girls' Basketball was victorious against Walnut, Thursday night. The Mustangs led 14-13 after the first quarter but the Centaurs pulled away with about 2:30 left in the first half by using a smothering full-court press to frustrate Walnut into turning the ball over. Culver led at halftime 32-22. The Lady Centaurs increased their lead in the third quarter by outscoring the Mustangs 23 to 10.

With the first round 69-45 win over Walnut, the Ladys (16-10) will travel down to Division 2A #1 Seed, San Clemente (24-3). This Saturday at 7:00 PM.

Unfortunately, two of our local teams didn't make it out of the opening rounds. Last Tuesday in Girls Water Polo, the Lady Centaurs' rally fell short and lost to host Rio Mesa 8-6 and on Wednesday, the Boys Basketball team also didn't make it out of the 1st round, losing on the road to Santa Barbara 67-57.
