The city is hosting a meeting on Tuesday, February 4, at 6:30pm to hear Phil Ansell, Mark Lipman, Christine Mirasy-Glasco, and Robin Ricard present on short- and long-term solutions to addressing homelessness. The speakers will provide information on regional and local efforts to end homelessness, and two of the speakers will share perspectives on their experiences exiting homelessness. The meeting will be held at the Culver-Palms United Methodist Church located at 4464 S. Sepulveda Blvd. in Culver City.

Phil Ansell is the Director of the Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative, which serves all populations experiencing homelessness in the region, and is a Culver City resident. Mark Lipman successfully exited homelessness and serves on the City of Culver City Committee on Homelessness. Christine Mirasy-Glasco is the Executive Director for Upward Bound House, which helps children and their families exit homelessness and is the only homeless shelter in Culver City. Robin Ricard experienced homelessness for eight years, including in Culver City, has been successfully housed for three years, and mentors others in their efforts to find homeless services.

The City of Culver City is updating its General Plan. In coordination with this effort, the City is hosting this event. The entire community is invited to join the discussion.
