Missing Culver City Teacher Found Safe

A Culver City middle school teacher has been found safe according to officials at the Culver City Unified School District school officials said Tuesday, two days after they alerted parents about her disappearance.

On Sunday the district pleaded for the safe return of 33-year-old Brianna Kaye Capillo, who teaches language arts at Culver City Middle School.

Superintendent Leslie Lockhart said in a Facebook post, "I am happy to share with you that we have received information from the family of Brianna Capillo that she has been found and is safe. At this time these are the only details that we have to share."

Capillo works at Culver City Middle School as a sixth-grade teacher of language arts, according to the school's website.

On the school's website, Capillo's profile states she holds a bachelor's degree in English-English education from Cal State Long Beach and a master's degree in literacy and language arts from Loyola Marymount University.
