Shooting Near Homeless Encampment on Culver City Border

An officer involved shooting occurred Saturday on the Culver CIty/Los Angeles border. The shooting took place just before 1 pm.
Culver City Fire Department Paramedics were first to arrive on the scene followed shortly thereafter by Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics.
Initial reports were that he Los Angeles Police Department was responding to a call of a person with a gun.
One person was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
Culver City Police are recommending motorist avoid the area. he investigation is expected to take 8-12 hours.
