Students Learn Valuable Lesson at Turning Point School

Each year during the holidays, Turning Point and S.A.V.E.S (Saint Augustine Volunteer Emergency Services). come together to help feed members of our Culver City community. This year, we were able to provide 100 complete family meals to families in Culver City.

Each classroom donated food items, decorated delivery boxes, and wrote Thanksgiving cards to be included in the delivery. Eighth grade student leaders then sorted and packed up all the boxes, and delivered donations to the S.A.V.E.S. food kitchen, where they toured the facility and learned more about how S.A.V.E.S. helps families facing food insecurity.

The school community then came together, along with special guests from S.A.V.E.S., to celebrate their accomplishments at an all-school Assembly. The school and S.A.V.E.S thanks all the families who contributed. With their help, we were able to provide a Thanksgiving meal to many in our Culver City community!
