I n announcing his candidacy Robles said, “We need a representative who cares about Carson, Compton, Lynwood, Gardena, Hawthorne, Lawndale, Culver City and Inglewood and all the unincorporated areas. Robles joins a crowded filed for the Second District seat that includes State Senator Holly Mitchell, former Los Angeles councilwoman Jan Perry and Los Angeles Council President Herb Wesson.
“The city of Los Angeles governance is a model we don’t want replicated at the county level,” Robles said, citing the city’s “horrible” record of dealing with homelessness.
