Frank Bruni

Culver City, CA November 1, 2019 The Willows Community School proudly presents an evening with Frank Bruni, New York Times Op-Ed Columnist, Bestselling Author of Where You Go Is Not Who You'll Be: An Antidote to the College Admissions Mania and frequent MSNBC and CNN Contributor on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019 at 7 p.m. at The Willows Community School, 8509 Higuera Street, Culver City, 90232. His talk will be followed by a Q & A and a book signing. This event is free and open to the public. Reservations are required.

Cultural, political and educational authority, Bruni will offer us hope and strategies to address the divisions within our society and the challenges of our educational system. Mr. Bruni's book "Where You Go Is Not Who You'll Be" addresses the conviction that the futures of young people and their worth will be determined by which colleges they attend. Bruni explains why this belief is wrong and offers students and parents a path out of the anxiety it provokes.

Frank Bruni writes about culture, higher education, politics, food, and gay rights. Known for his insightful opinions on our current world, his career at the New York Times has ranged broadly from metropolitan reporter to White House correspondent, staff writer for The Times Magazine, Rome Bureau Chief, restaurant critic, and to his current role as Op-Ed columnist. Bruni was named a Pulitzer Prize finalist in feature writing for his coverage of the Persian Gulf War for the Detroit Free Press. He is the author of two New York Times bestselling books, the memoir Born Round: A Story of Family, Food and a Ferocious Appetite, and a chronicle of George W. Bush's 2000 presidential campaign Ambling Into History as well as his most recent A Meatloaf in Every Oven. Learn more about Frank Bruni at http://www.frankbruni.com.
