If you are looking to watch a live football game this weekend Culver City High School is your best bet. The Rams are on the road, the Chargers played last Thursday, USC is on the road and UCLA has a bye.

The Culver City football team is the No. 1 ranked team in CIF Division 5 and they go into the playoffs with a perfect record of 10-0. They have one of the most exciting offenses in the state and their defense is getting better every week.

Their first playoff game will be Friday, Nov. 8, against Bishop Diego of Santa Barbara at Culver City High School at 7 p.m. Bishop Diego is 5-5 and they are led by their 6' 2" running back Adrian Socacco who has 879 yards on 161 carries. Their other offensive weapon is 6'3" 210 pound receiver, Sam Mikeale.

The Rams are sitting in third place in the NFC West Division of the National Conference with a record of 5-3, so every game right now will be a fight to stay in the playoff race. They are currently looking up at the first place 49ers at 8-0 and the second place Seahawks at 7-2. Los Angeles travels to Pittsburgh Sunday to take on the Steelers at 1:25 p.m.

The Chargers are in the same position as the Rams. They are in third place in the AFC West Division of the American Conference with a record of 4-5. Ahead of them at press time (Tuesday) are the first place Kansas City Chiefs at 6-3 and the second place Raiders at 4-4. The Chargers played the Raiders last Thursday and their next game is on Monday night, Nov. 18, against the Chiefs at home.

UCLA's football team has won three games in a row after starting the season 1-5. They are tied for second place in the Pac-12 South with USC at 4-2. At 4-5 overall they still need a few more wins to be bowl eligible. The Bruins have scored over 30 points in their last four games and last week their defense held Colorado to 14 points.

The USC football program took a hard hit last weekend when Oregon came into the Coliseum and scored 56 points on the Trojans. They travel to Arizona State on Saturday to battle the Sun Devils at 12:30 p.m. The Trojans are 5-4 overall and 4-2 in the Pac-12 South.

After their 56-24 loss to Oregon USC head coach Clay Helton had this to say. "It was not our night. We will come back to work on Monday and get ready for Arizona State. I will fight like hell with the people I believe in and that I love until they ask me not to do it. I will continue to do the only thing I know how to do and that's fight."

USC and UCLA women's volleyball teams have home games this weekend against Colorado and Utah. USC plays Colorado on Saturday at 7 p.m. and UCLA takes on Utah on Saturday at 5 p.m. inside the John Wooden Center.

The Lakers and Clippers are off and running in the right direction. The Lakers are currently in first place and the Clippers are in third in the Western Conference. They both have home games starting with the Lakers taking on Miami on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and playing Toronto on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The Clippers are scheduled to play Toronto on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
