The Culver City Police Department issued a crime report for September. The following crimes were reported in Culver City:

1 Homicide

12 Robberies

7 Assaults with Deadly Weapons

8 Residential/Commercial Burglaries

21 Thefts from Vehicles

1 Stolen Vehicles

5 Bicycle Thefts

CCPD has reported a significant decrease in bike thefts in September and they remind residents it is important to keep locking your bikes inside of your garage or home when possible.

They report a increase in thefts from motor vehicles specifically at the Culver City dog park as well as the area of Jefferson Blvd and Hetzler Ave.

CCPD offers some tips to help prevent thefts from motor vehicles:

- Remove valuables from your motor vehicles when unoccupied

- Always lock your vehicle

- Keep your windows completely closed

- Park in well-lit and visible areas
