Linebacker Clay Matthews made three tackles, two sacks and forced a fumble in the Rams 20-13 win over the Browns last Sunday. They battle Tampa Bay Sunday at home at 1 p.m.

The mark of a good team is to win games even if you are not at your best. That's been the story of the Rams so far this year. They are 3-0 and they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at the Coliseum at 1 p.m. Next week they travel to Seattle for a Thursday night game at 5:15 p.m., and they return home to face San Francisco Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m.

With over 20 new players on their roster, the Rams continue to get the job done under the leadership of head coach Sean McVay and a group of assistant coaches that all appear to be on the same page.

It doesn't hurt to have great players on offensive and defense. On offense, they have outstanding receivers in Cooper Kupp, Brandon Cooks, Robert Woods, Gerald Everett, and Josh Reynolds. At running back they have Todd Gurley II, Malcolm Brown, and Darrell Henderson Jr. And they have a good young quarterback in Jared Goff.

On defense, they have some of the best players in the NFL and that starts with their defensive line led by Aaron Donald. He is considered by many to be the best defensive player in the NFL. Michael Brockers is also a very good defensive lineman.

The linebackers are led by Cory Littleton, Clay Matthews, Dante Fowler Jr., and Bruce Hager. The defensive backfield has a combination of veterans and young players. Aqib Talib and Eric Weddle are the veterans and Marcus Peters, John Johnson III, Troy Hill, and Nickell Robey-Coleman are some of the younger defensive backs.

On special teams, they have one of the best kickers in the NFL in Johnny Hekker and Greg Zuerlein. Hekker is an athletic punter who can also run with the ball and throw passes and Zuerlein is one of the most accurate field goal and extra point kickers in the NFL. The speedy but small JoJo Natson return kicks and punts.

This year the NFC West Division is a lot better. The reason its better is because San Francisco is 3-0 and Seattle (2-1) is always competitive and Arizona (0-2-1) has a young exciting quarterback in Tyler Murray so the Rams will need to continue to win games for home-field advantage in the playoffs.
