Football season is back and not soon enough for the NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams. Eager to complete the unfinished business of losing in Super Bowl LIII, head coach Sean McVay and the team opens its 2019 training camp this Wednesday, July 24, at the University of California, Irvine campus for the fourth consecutive year.

The Rams will host their Kickoff Festival for fans this Saturday, July 27, starting at 4:00 p.m. The fans will be treated to giveaways, interactive games, themed practices, registration for players' autographs and appearances by Rams cheerleaders, former player legends and team mascot, Rampage.

Each of the seven days of training camp open to the public will have a theme. Saturday, July 27, 4 p.m. - Kickoff Festival; Sunday, July 28, 4 p.m. - Vamos Rams Day; Monday, July 29, 4 p.m. - Legends Reunion Day; Tuesday, July 30, 4 p.m. - Youth Sports Day; Friday, August 2, 2 p.m. - Everyday Heroes; Saturday, August 3, 2 p.m. - Family Day; Sunday, August 4, 2 p.m. - Training Camp Finale.

For fans wanting to attend, tickets are required for each day of camp. Though training camp is free and open to the public, all attendees must possess a valid ticket for entry. Fans must register for a free ticket at: therams.com/trainingcamp or on the Rams Mobile App. Ticket

registrations also will be available onsite.

All kids, ages 5-14, who visit the Rams Kids Club tent in the Fan

Zone will have an opportunity to be selected for one of two

memorable experiences. Parents or guardians may sign up their

kids for a chance to be selected for the Rams Rookies program

or for the post-practice autographs.

The training camp autograph schedule offers different player positions signings each day: Saturday, July 27 - Defensive Line; Sunday, July 28 - Quarterbacks/Tight Ends; Monday, July 29 - Defensive Backs; Tuesday, July 30 - Running Backs/Wide Receivers; Friday, August 2 - Offensive Line; Saturday, August 3 - Linebackers/Special Teams; Saturday, August 4 - Full Roster.

On paper, the Rams will return 17 of 22 starters from last season's starting lineup. Nine returning offensive starters are slated to be joined by two new offensive linemen: Brian Allen and Joe Noteboom. The eight returning defensive starters will welcome two free-agents: 6-time Pro-Bowlers linebacker Clay Matthews and safety Eric Weddle.

The quarterbacks and rookies will report on the first day while the rest of the team reports this Friday, July 26. Four quarterbacks are expected to be in camp: starter Jared Goff, newly acquired veteran Blake Bortles as backup, inexperienced Brandon Allen in his third season and 2nd-year pro John Wolford, with experience only in the short-lived Alliance American Football league.

There will be 28 rookies reporting including 20 undrafted signees. The drafted rookies reporting are safety Taylor Rapp, running back Darrell Henderson, cornerback David Long, tackle Bobby Evans, defensive tackle Greg Gaines, tackle David Edwards, safety Nick Scott and linebacker Dakota Allen. There will be 33 new faces in camp: 17 on offense and 16 on defense.

The Rams will play four preseason games including a "home" contest with the Dallas Cowboys in Honolulu, Hawaii, Saturday, August 17. They open the schedule at the Oakland Raiders, Saturday, August 10, and host the Denver Broncos for the only preseason game at the newly renovated L.A. Memorial Coliseum, Saturday, August 24. The exhibition season wraps at the Houston Texans, Thursday, August 29.
