99 Cents Only Store Completely Destroyed

The 99 cents only store in Culver City near the corner of Washington Blvd. and Washington Place was completely destroyed by fire today.

With smoke still rising from the structure firefighters were still pouring water on hot spots almost twelve hours after the blaze was first reported.

First the roof collapsed then three of the four walls caved in. the last wall leaned inward and was in a state of near collapse.

Streets were closed around the area including the heavily traveled Washington Blvd.

No injuries were reported, and firefighter were off the roof and exited the building prior to the collapse. Culver City Police Department reported no injuries.

99 cent Only employees were on site handing cards out with the address of the nearest stores in Westchester and Santa Monica.
