Sparks Even Their Record with two Straight Wins

After losing four games in a row the Sparks are on a two games winning streak going into Sunday's game at the Staples Center against the Washington Mystics at 2 p.m. They are 6-6 in the very competitive 12 team WNBA.
The Sparks biggest problem right now is turnovers. It looks like they are trying to do much especially during a fast break. "We are trying to convince everyone to keep it simple and being there for your teammate," said Sparks head coach Derek Fisher last week after a win over Las Vegas.

Sparks player Candace Parker wants to play an up tempo game but she realizes they have to take care of the ball. "We want to push the ball as much as we can," said Parker. "You can learn while winning and that is what we are trying to do but I have to stop turning the ball over and just keep it simple."
Another player who is trying to learn the WNBA game is rookie Kalani Brown from Baylor. The 6'4 Brown is looking forward to the challenge. "I am getting better every game," said Brown. "I am trying to get in there and be the enforcer my team needs. I am taking it one game at a time."
Brown is trying to get used to playing with players that are just as big and talented as she is. "I am in this league to. As a rookie my teammates said that players will try to test me. In this league players are just as big and just as quick."
