AVPA Open House Workshop This Saturday

Culver City students including the Culver City Middle School for the first time who are interested in joining the AVPA are invited to attend an Open House Workshop on Saturday, June 8.

It will feature opportunities for all students to work with high school students in each of the five departments in AVPA: Visual Art, Dance, Film, Music, and Theatre.

This workshop is in conjunction with AVPA's JAVA GALA XI, their annual benefit fundraiser and showcase. Workshop participants are invited to perform in the opening act of Java Gala!

Schedule for Saturday, June 8:

12:30pm – Arrive at the Robert Frost Auditorium to check in

1:00-4:00pm – 5 Sessions (Students will be divided between the 5 programs and rotate to another department every 30 minutes. A break with snacks and water will take place at 2:30pm.)

For those performing in the show, return to the Robert Frost Auditorium at 6pm to rehearse the opening. We will end by 6:30pm and students can enjoy the reception before the show begins at 7pm.

Each student who participates in the workshop will receive a t-shirt and a ticket to the show. We are asking for a $25 donation for each student to participate in the workshop and attend the show.

Tickets for the Java Gala show are regularly $25 for adults and $15 for students. Parents/Guardians of students who participate in the workshop are offered tickets for $15.
