Culver City Car Show Returns This Weekend

 

The 16th annual Culver City car show returns to Veteran's Park this Saturday. The show will run from 8am until 6pm.

The opening ceremony will kick off the event at 10am followed at 10:30 by the Red Surf Band. The band hails from Manhattan Beach and are considered an American instrumental surf rock band. They have had an enduring impact on the development and continued voice of classic instrumental surf music.

Christopher Ameruoso is up next at noon with his 'Swamp Rock Music,' Ggod old foot stomping music played on cigar box guitars.

Next will be the Pin-up contest followed by the Dair Band a Classic Rock Band which features Electric and Acoustic or a combination of both styles of music.

The trophy's will be awarded at a ceremony at 3:15pm.

In addition to hundreds of classic cars and hot rods the show will have features auto-related vendors, food trucks and a beer garden.

Organized and produced by the Culver City Exchange Club the annual show raises money to fund the prevention of child abuse, support local youth programs like the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center, the Y.M.C.A, The West Los Angeles College Student Food Bank, and the annual award of college scholarships to deserving Culver high school students. In 2018, the car show helped fund more than 20 college scholarships.

Parking is provided at Sony Pictures Entertainment and the show organizers urge visitors to avoid parking in the residential area surrounding the park. Dogs are not permitted in the park.
