Culver City Releases Survey for Seniors

March 14, 2019

The City of Culver City is pleased to announce its designation as an Age-Friendly Community by AARP.

Culver City joins dozens of other cities and states within both AARP's Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities as well as the World Health Organization's (WHO) global network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities.

"The City is honored to be one of AARP's Age-Friendly Cities! It is great to be known as a community that can support the ambitions of all people, no matter their age," said Culver City Mayor Thomas Small. "Now we have work to do to ensure we are meeting the fullness of their needs."

To commemorate its designation, the City is conducting a survey that identifies the concerns and priorities of seniors within the Culver City community. Seniors' valuable feedback will guide staff in developing the Culver City Age-Friendly Action Plan. Culver City's Age-Friendly Action Plan will outline a strategy for addressing the needs of Culver City's seniors.

Culver City residents 50 and older may access the survey by visiting the City's survey website https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CulverCityAgeFriendly-English or obtaining a hard copy from the Culver City City Clerk's Office (9770 Culver Blvd) or Culver City Senior Center (4095 Overland Ave). They can also return their surveys to either the City Clerk's Office or Senior Center. Survey feedback must be submitted by Friday, March 29, 2019.

Individual responses will remain confidential, though anonymous results will be added to the City of Culver City's website and shared with other cities and communities within WHO and AARP's networks.

Interested community members can receive results directly to their email inbox by signing up to receive updates for the Culver City Senior Center.
