The Lady Centaurs move on to the CIF State D III Regional Semifinals after a nail-biting 1-0 win against Mission Oaks High. Emily de los Santos scored the winning goal in the 71st minute of play. Her goal came off a free kick from freshmen Grace Weil that bounced off a Mission Oaks defender, straight onto Emily's feet and she put it in the lower right corner of net. De los Santos, a sophomore, is the Lady Centaurs' top scorer with 11 Goals and 6 Assists. She was injured in the first half but was able to come back and play the last 20 minutes of the game. The Centaurs solid defense led by goalie, Cara Conroy, withstood the attacks of Mission Oaks to keep the shutout. The win made the three-hour bus drive north to and fro from Tulare, CA worth the trip. The Centaurs win sets up a polar-bowl rematch between the #1 seed, Oaks Hills in Hesperia on Thursday February 28th at 4:00 pm.
