The search for 6-month-old Jacsun Manson has changed to a search for his body. Culver City Police now believe he died while his parents, Adam Manson and Kiana Williams were doing drugs. Both are being held without bail by the Los Angeles County Sheriff on a murder warrant issued by CCPD. Formal charges of felony child endangerment resulting in death were filed on February 27.A massive search began Monday at the El Sobrante Landfill in Corona. Police said the baby's body is believed to be at the site. Videos show police and volunteers combing the landfill along with cadaver dogs to try to locate the infant's remains.Police appear to be regrouping before conducting the search."We continue to stratagize and plan for the best and most efficient way to search the El Sobrante landfill for the remains of Jacsun Manson," CCPD said in a written statement. "We anticipate the search will resume in the near future. "The infant was last seen on December 31. The parents were arrested on January 3 in a stolen vehicle, police said. Investigators suspect that the parents previously stole a different car from Upward Bound House on Washington Boulevard on the westside of Culver City. Upward Bound provides homeless families with housing and supportive services.According to city officials and its neighbors, Upward Bound took over a dilapidated motel what served as a crime-ridden place for unsavory types and turned it into a viable homeless shelter.Residents initially opposed the shelter in their neighborhood. But they have become very supportive of the center's strict "no nonsense" guidelines. At the time of the parents' arrest, the stolen vehicle –a blue 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser --was missing a bumper and has likely had its license plates removed, police said. Jacsun was not with them.

CCPD became involved in the case when the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services reported Jacsun missing. Police received the report several weeks after the infant went missing. DCFS has not commented on the reason it took so long to report the child missing. Initially, Jacsun's parents were uncooperative with regards to the location of their child. However, they later reportedly told police they had killed him, placed his body in a suitcase and dumped his body in a trash container near the Crenshaw mall.According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office the couple were "allegedly doing drugs and later found their child was dead.''Anyone with information is asked to call Culver City Police Det. Raya at (310) 253-6318 or after hours the watch commander at (310) 253-6202.
