My Day as A Blue Carpet Journalist

Age: 9

It was a bright and sunny day as I left my home in my dress from Nordstrom, and my golden shoes, to head to the Blue carpet premier for Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. As my mom and I drove there, we practiced my interview questions. I was so excited to go and be a Kid Scoop Media Reporter for the day!

When I got to the premier, we met the team from Kid Scoop Media in front of three huge buses decorated in Hotel Transylvania 3 pictures. I did the video intro for the event in front of the bus with Drac on it! We did the intro about four times to get it just right.

Next, we went to our assigned spots on the Blue carpet. I was a little squished between two other kid journalists; it was more crowded on the carpet than I thought it would be! We stayed in our spots for about an hour before any celebrities arrived.

Finally, my first interview happened. Jacob Hopkins (from Amazing World of Gumball) came down the blue carpet. He came over to me and I started to interview him! I asked him my three main questions, which were "Have you been to Transylvania in real life?", "If you were to eat a monster food from the movie what would it be?", and "If you were to hang out with a monster from the movie, who would it be and why?" When he answered all the questions he moved right along to the next journalist.

Next down the carpet was Genndy Tartakovsky, the Director and Writer of the movie. He stopped for an interview with me! I asked him the same questions, and he was the only person who answered that he has been to the real Translyvania. And he even went to Dracula's Castle when he was there! He said it is not like the hotel in the movie, and that it is very small with a ton of torches and dungeons.

She may not be in the movie, but Tori spelling was there with her family, and stopped for an interview with me! She

There were a lot of other celebrities that came down the blue carpet. From the movie, Molly Shannon, Andy Samberg, David Spade, and Kathryn Hahn were there, but didn't stop for interviews. Other celebrities (and their kids) included, Jodie Sweeten, Elisabeth Rohm, Amanda Stanton, and more!

And then it happened...she is famous a role model...ladies and gentlemen- Selena Gomez! She talked to very few people on the blue carpet but came to me! It was the best thing in the world seeing Selena Gomez right in front of me. I felt like I was going to cry! She answered all of my questions (by the way, she says she would love to eat something slimy), and when she left the blue carpet, everyone headed to the party on the blue carpet! All I had time for was a shaved ice, with pink lemonade and blueberry syrup, before we were off to see the movie, but it was delicious!

As we walked in to the movie theater my mom got a soda off the counter, and we went to our seats in the second to last row. They provided us with a box of popcorn and a bag of little muffin bites at each seat. We missed the first few minutes of the movie, but we figured out what we had missed. It was such a great movie! I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I would just recommend that everyone go see Hotel Transylvania 3 when it comes out on July 13th.

I will never forget my first day of being a journalist, and I hope to do it again!
