West LA College will create history June 5; when it gives more degrees than any other community college in California.

Guest speakers include State Senator Holly Mitchell; Assembly member Sydney Kamlager-Dove; LACCD Chancellor Dr. Francisco C. Rodriguez, and LACCD Board Member Dr. Gabriel Buelna.

The June 5 Commencement Ceremony starts the college's 12-month golden anniversary. It will be held Tuesday, June 5, at 6 p.m., at 9000 Overland Ave., Culver City.

West expects to award 1,500 degrees and certificates this year. West is one of just 15 California community colleges authorized by the State Chancellor's Office in 2014 to offer a Bachelor's degree program.
