Dear Editor,

My vote is for Albert Vera on April 10th. I am impressed by his personal and professional accomplishments and wholeheartedly support his strategic vision for the city. We need someone who comes from our community, someone who knows us and will represent our collective voices. Our city staff are policy experts; we have paid attorneys to prepare and review policies; we need someone on council who has innovative ideas and has proven successful local business experience. We need someone who is accessible to every resident. This, in my opinion is Albert Vera.

We are at a pivotal stage in the growth of our city where the fabric of our hometown is at risk of irreversible change. We need someone who brings balance to the city council and represents the best interest of each resident and small business owner.

When I hear and see Albert speak at the candidate forums, I can feel his passion and genuine care and love for his city. His replies are not rehearsed - he is genuine. During this election Albert has displayed the greatest levels of tolerance and forgiveness toward his detractors that I've ever seen in all my years as a resident, former city employee, former civil service commissioner and city homeowner. He is a respectable man.

I know Albert will continue to focus his efforts on bringing positive change to improve and protect our community. Walking my neighborhood I know my neighbors feel the same as I do - I see many Vera lawn signs and hear resounding support of his candidacy. We know that we are his priority.

Vote Vera on April 10th.
