Culver City Police are recommending drivers avoid the eastside of Culver City

Washington Boulevard is completely closed between Helms Avenue and Sherbourne Avenue due to a fatal traffic collision.

The lone occupant of the crash died at the scene after crashing into a tree. the single car accident snarled traffic during the morning rush hour.

The victim has not yet been identified.
