“I’ve always liked the restaurant business,” said Benny Borsakian, the affable owner, whose experience included Johnny Rockets 15 years ago. His love of Mexican food inspired him to visit Mexico many times, firing up his determination to bring the best quality foods, all made to order, to the Los Angeles community. “Nothing is frozen or canned,” he emphasized. “We make all our salsas.”

Benny’s Tacos serves all the classic Mexican favorites as well as unusual and delicious new selections such as churros packed with vanilla filling, an innovative twist on an old favorite. Tortillas are fresh and handmade, there are several vegetarian options, and breakfast is served all day. There are even breakfast specials for only $6.99 with a free fountain drink or coffee when dining between 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. When asked what dish seemed to be the most popular with customers Borsakian responded that it was the California Burrito: “It has French fries inside and is very tasty.” His own personal favorite is “the chicken fajita. It has a wonderful flavor and is very healthy.”

“I added two terrific partners,” Borsakian said. “Josh is a chef and Darius handles daily operations. This has allowed me more free time to grow the business, handle advertising, and concentrate on catering and fundraising. We do a lot of personal and corporate catering, including Sony, Google, and the L.A. Rams. We’ve catered school and community events and are also very interested in contributing to the community through fundraisers.
