Sierra Club, LA Democratic Party, and Culver City Democratic Club Back Lee

February 14, 2018 – Daniel Lee's Culver City Council campaign gained endorsements from leading organizations in recent days, including renowned environmental advocacy group the Sierra Club, as well as garnering the unanimous endorsement of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, and the Culver City Democratic Club.

"Everyone working on the campaign deserves credit for the recognition we've received from these well-respected organizations," said Lee. "We're grateful for the support we're getting from the Culver City community, as well as regional leaders and representatives."

Lee had already received prominent endorsements from U.S. Representative Karen Bass, and Los Angeles County Board of Trustees President Sydney Kamlager-Dove, who joined the impressive list of local officials pledging their support for the campaign, including Culver City Council Member Sahli-Wells, Culver City Vice Mayor Thomas Small, former LA City Controller Rick Tuttle, and Culver City School Board Member Dr. Kelly Kent.

An excited crew of campaign volunteers met over the weekend to continue planning for the extensive ground game necessary for a successful campaign. "So much goes into it. There are yard signs to deliver, phone banks to organize, and door-to-door neighborhood walks to plan," explained Lee. "I couldn't do it without the many committed volunteers who give their time and energy. It's really rewarding when you feel the momentum building as we head into the next phase of the campaign."

After a great run in the last City Council election in 2016, nearly gaining a Council seat in a field of seven candidates, Daniel Lee is poised for success in the City Council election on April 10th, which would make Mr. Lee the first African-American City Council Member in Culver City's history.
