Sydney Kamlager endorsed by Planned Parenthood Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES – Democratic Party candidate Sydney Kamlager today announced she has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Los Angeles (PPLA).

Ms. Kamlager said, "I'm very proud to be the only candidate in the race for the 54th Assembly District to have the support and endorsement of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. PPLA's success locally has defined and shaped the health service offerings that provide necessary support for a woman's right to choose.

PPLA staff have provided Los Angeles area women and men with convenient and affordable access to comprehensive reproductive health care and sexual health information through their 19 health centers and two high school wellness centers. I strongly support PPLA's leadership and staff in their effort to serve women's comprehensive health needs and in their commitment to fulfill their mission to protect women's rights to quality health services."

Voters in the 54th Assembly District will cast Special Election ballots on Tuesday, April 3 to fill the district's vacant seat.

Ms. Kamlager serves as president of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Board of Trustees and district director to California State Senator Holly J. Mitchell. She won election to the LACCD Board of Trustees in March 2015. The 54th Assembly District represents residents in South L.A., West L.A., Southwest L.A. and the City of Culver City.
