Schedule For Jewish New Year

September 7, 2017

The Jewish New Year 5778 begins at Sunset on September 20. Please join us for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur services at the Double Tree Hotel. Click on the Holiday tab to view the full Schedule: http://www.jewishcc.com Rosh Hashanah commemorates the sixth day of Creation; the day when Adam and Eve were created. Our birth is like G-d saying the world needs you and we pledge New Year resolutions to continue our job to make this world a better place. And when words fail to communicate our deepest heartfelt feelings, we take a Shofar, whose simple weeping notes convey the wordless cry and request which emanates from the core of our souls. The cry of the Shofar is akin to the wail of a child, yearning to be reunited with a beloved parent. There are no words to express a longing that is so deep, so primal and so true. So make sure to attend a Shofar-blowing on Rosh Hashanah and give expression to the cry of your soul. If you already have High Holiday plans, please forward this email to family/friends who may not. There is no charge and all are welcome.
