Kid Scoop Reviews Food And Wine Festival

Kid Scoop Media Correspondent

Kid Scoop Media attended the Culver City Food & Wine Festival at the Courtyard Marriott. This was one of the many events marking the Culver City Centennial. There was definitely a celebratory atmosphere with live music playing and lots of food and drinks to try, like Harmless Harvest Coconut Water, which hit the spot. We started off eating at the Wild Craft booth where we tried their vanilla bean panna cotta. It had a very creamy texture with a hint of lavender adding to the sweet taste. Next, we went to the Pitfire booth where they gave us ricotta flatbread with kale salad. The flatbread was powdery, thin, and kind of chewy. The ricotta topping was chunky and thick, while the kale salad was crunchy and savory. I wasn’t a big fan of this one. My favorite booth would have to be the Mayura restaurant, which is delicious Indian food. They served a savory yet mild chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and fluffy rice. Next was the Mediterranean chicken kabob from Panini Kabob Grill. It was tender and smoky and came with fluffy pita bread, rice, savory hummus, and bittersweet cucumber with yogurt. Lastly, to end the day, I tried the ice cream, from Smitten Ice Cream, in the flavors chocolate, vanilla, and cookie dough. My favorite was chocolate. Overall, it was a beautiful day and a lovely experience for all ages
