California Restaurant Association Foundation Selects Tito's Tacos for 2017 Restaurant Neighbor Award.

Tito's Tacos Mexican Restaurant is the proud recipient of the 2017 Restaurant Neighbor Award recently presented to them by the California Restaurant Association Foundation (CRAF) for their exceptional charitable giving efforts and their unwavering commitment to giving back to the community in good times and bad. Tito's Tacos has been serving their award-winning Mexican Food cuisine prepared fresh daily in Culver City since 1959. "We work with the best restaurant and hospitality companies in the world," CRAF Executive Director Alycia Harshfield said, "And, this Award recognizes and honors the generosity and diversity of our industry. Each award winner enriches their community in meaningful ways and we are proud to honor them."In just the past year alone Tito's Tacos has contributed in a variety of ways to a large number of local community groups and non-profit organizations which include some of the following entities: The Arthritis Foundation, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Culver City Centennial Celebration, Culver City Homeless Count, Culver City Public & Private Schools, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, Fiesta La Ballona, Culver City & Los Angeles (Pacific Division) Police Officer Associations, Saint Augustine Catholic Church, Toys for Tots and the Veterans Administration for Greater Los Angeles, etc. "Tito's Tacos is sincerely honored to have been recognized by the California Restaurant Association Foundation for our ongoing efforts to help make our beloved community an even better place for our customers and employees to raise their growing families," remarked Tito's Tacos Owner Lynne Davidson, "And, what really makes this accolade even more special is the fact that Tito's Tacos was nominated for this Award by a longtime Culver City resident, Ms. Andi Philips, who also happens to be an acclaimed ProStart Culinary & Hospitality Management Instructor with the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies"The California Restaurant Association Foundation (CRAF) sponsored ProStart Program is a two-year program for highly motivated high school juniors and seniors which helps them prepare for future careers in the ever-changing and rewarding Restaurant industry. In California, the ProStart Program is operated by the CRAF in 127 public high schools, reaching over 9,000 students from Redding to San Diego, with local restauranteurs such as Tito's Tacos donating precious time and resources to help the students succeed in whatever role they are best suited for in the exciting food service industry.
