Culver Man Arrested For Metro Station Assault

James A. Hanson, 32, of Culver City was arrested about 1 p.m. on Thursday December 15 and was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon likely to produce great bodily injury of assaulting another man on the Hollywood/Vine Metro Red Line station.

He is currently being held on $37,000 bail.

Hanson allegedly attacked the man using his hands and feet as weapons in the attack. The attack occurred on Tuesday December 13.

Sheriff Deputies and Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived at the station at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street to investigate however they were unable to find the victim, suspect or any witnesses.

Deputies later found out that a video had been posted on social media.

The victim later came forward and made a report. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

According to published sources Hanson admitted to his role in the assault and has was booked at the sheriff’s Century Regional Detention Facility.

Hanson’s arraignment will take place next week.
