Long-time businessman and Immediate Past President of the Culver City Historical Society Stu Freeman raises a Culver City Centennial flag at 9715 Washington Boulevard in the city’s downtown area. The building has been owned by his family since 1927 and has an endearing place in his heart.

“The Centennial celebration is especially meaningful to my family and me because my grandparents, Louis and Molly Freeman, opened a grocery store in this location almost 100 years ago,” Freeman said. “This flag is one of two that will wave proudly on the roof of this building during the Centennial year.”
