Two Community Events AT WLA College

West Los Angeles College invites the community to two popular annual events this Saturday, November 19. "YOU and YOUR Money ...decisions for today and the future" is a free seminar from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. "Dance Day" is a full day of master dance classes open to students of all levels from age 12 and older. YOU AND YOUR MONEY

This popular seminar will be led by Assistant Professor of Accounting Charles V. Daniel, formerly an auditor at the international accounting firm of KPMG. He is also past President of the Los Angeles Professional Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). This is a community service event. No products or services are being promoted or sold. Professor Daniels will discuss how to avoid or recover from financial pitfalls. The seminar is designed to benefit both those at the start of and well into their financial life. Topics include: Lessons on spending and saving; Credit; Dodging financial predators; Leasing vs buying and more.

While the event is free, an RSVP is required. RSVP to http://www.WeCanBudget.org/WLAC. Campus location and parking information will be provided with confirmation of the RSVP. Afternoon refreshments will be provided.

DANCE DAY

Enjoy a full day of dance master classes in Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Bachata, Yoga, Line Dance, Stretch and Tone, Tap, African, Zumba and more taught by dance professionals culminating in a concert with performances by various colleges and high schools. All levels of dancers from just curious, to beginners and advanced are welcome. Classes run from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the dance studios located adjacent to Parking Lot #5. Parking is $2.00. Exact change for the permit dispenser is needed.


The dance concert will start at 5 p.m.
