USC Faces Oregon In Saturday Football

The USC Trojans are hoping to keep pace with the rest of the Pac-12 elite teams with a win over the Oregon Ducks this Saturday at the Coliseum. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Although the Ducks are having a down year they are still an explosive offensive team.
The Ducks come into the game with an overall record of 3-5 and they are tied for last place in the Pac-12 North Division at 1-4. The Trojans are 5-3 overall and currently in third place in the Pac-12 South Division with a record of 4-2.
Right now USC is clicking on all cylinders. They have four very good running backs, several outstanding receivers, a very productive quarterback, a solid offensive line, great special teams play and an improving defense.
“I can’t tell you how proud I am of the defense,” said USC head coach Clay Helton after their win over California last week. “They are playing good football and the players are playing together.”
Offense, defense and special teams are playing exceptionally well according to Helton. “We are really jelling and we are playing with a lot of confidence. As a head coach you want to see improvement from game one to game eight as an organization.”
USC’s backup quarterback Max Brown is looking to transfer in December. He started the first few games this season but lost his position to redshirt freshman Sam Darnold. Browne has one year of eligibility remaining.
