October 6, 2016

The USC Trojans and the UCLA Bruins play important Pac-12 football games Saturday. The 2-3 Trojans are at home against the 4-1 and No. 21 Colorado Buffalos at the Coliseum at 1 p.m. The 3-2 Bruins face the 2-3 Arizona State Sun Devils on the road at 7:30 p.m.

The quarterbacks on both of the local teams are playing well right now. Red-shirt USC freshman, Sam Darnold threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns last week in a victory over Arizona State and UCLA signal caller, Josh Rosen completed 20 of 37 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns last week against Arizona.

The running game has also improved for both teams. Leading the way for the Trojans is tailback Justin Davis and UCLA running game is led by Nate Starks. “I believe we should be able to run the ball against anybody,” said UCLA head coach Jim Mora last Saturday at the Rose Bowl.
