Adrian Kaczmarek, nicknamed "Viking Guy", is now known as the subway hero.

Adrian took down a shirtless passenger last week on the EXPO Line as the train came into the Culver City Station. The man was later determined to be drunk and on drugs.

Passengers attempted to protect themselves from the attacker; one rider even put his bike between the man and himself.

Suddenly, Kaczmarek intervenes and puts the shirtless man in a tight head lock. He intervened to make sure no one would get hurt. Kaczmarek put a sleeper hold on the man who was harassing fellow passengers. He gently put the unruly passenger on the floor as he passed out from the hold.

He told a local television station, "I was more concerned about my safety and the people on the train's safety. I wasn't sure if he had a knife or if he had a gun."

Another rider took a video of the man terrorizing passengers on the train.

"You knew that there was going to be some sort of physical altercation so I wanted to put a stop to that before anything else happened," Kaczmarek said.

As the video shows, the shirtless man passes out for few moments. Kaczmarek then places his foot on the man holding him on the train floor. The train's conductor alerted sheriff's deputies on the station platform.

With his foot on the suspect, Kaczmarek assisted the deputy in controlling the suspect who remained aggressive and belligerent. He even had to handcuff the suspect.

Transit deputies confirmed the man was under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. He was arrested for being drunk and disorderly.

Kaczmarek has been praised on social media for the way he handled the situation and keeping his cool rather than pummeling the obnoxious man causing trouble.
