There are several ways to look at the UCLA men's basketball season. If you look at the Pac-12 standings the Bruins are listed as the 10th place team in the league but if you look at the records of the teams they are actually tied for third. That's how competitive the Pac-12 is this season.

UCLA is has an overall record of 12-8 and is 3-4 in the Pac-12. If they expect to keep up with the top teams in the league they must beat Washington and Washington State this weekend on their home court.

They played first place Washington on Thursday and face last place Washington State on Saturday at 4 p.m. Next Thursday they travel to USC to face a Trojan team that beat them 89-75 a few weeks ago in Westwood.

The UCLA women are tied for second place in the Pac-12 with Washington. The Bruins' league record is 6-2 and their overall record is 14-5. Oregon State is in first place with a league record of 7-1 and an overall record is 16-3.

The lady Bruins travel to Colorado on Friday for a 6 p.m. game and play Utah on Sunday at 1 p.m.
