With the nomination period closed the city has eight candidates who qualified for the April ballot to run for the City Council..

Meghan Sahli-Wells, Goran Eriksson, Marcus G. Tiggs, Thomas Aujero Small, Jay B. Garacochea, Scott Wyant and Daniel Lee and have all qualified for the three seats on the council. One candidate Joseph L. Stone did not qualify.

Sahli-Wells is the only incumbent and is seeking a second term. Current councilmembers Andy Weissman and Mehaul O'Leary are barred from seeking another term due to term limits leaving two empty seats up for grabs.

The election will be held on Tuesday, April 12. The three council members elected will serve a four- year term.
