Colette Moore, owner of PRIDESTAFF Culver City, was installed last Friday as the 2016 Chair of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

The Chamber celebrated its 95th Annual Installation of Officers at the DoubleTree by Hilton. Assembly member Sebastian Ridley-Thomas served as Master of Ceremonies and Installing Officer for the occasion.

Moore set the tone for this year with the phase "Serve the Gladness." She spoke about the strong working relationships in the community and said the business and residential community complement each other and work well together. She welcomed the expansion of digital commerce in Culver City.

Among the important events she said the chamber will have this year will be hosting a candidates forum for the city council race. Moore also announced two new events, Culver City Food and Wine Festival and a Women in Business event.

Serving with Colette Moore will be Chair Elect 2017 Paul Goldstein, Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary; Vice Chairs of the Board Janice Beighy, Tower Insurance associates, Inc .; Elizabeth Flynn, Walter N. Marks Inc .; Geoff Maleman, Maleman Ink; Sue Robins, Ascend Training Solutions, LLC; Don Ziss, Westfield Culver City and Immediate Past Chair Kevin Lachoff, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. Newly elected and re-eelected members of the Board include Adriana Beischel, At Home Nursing Care; David Church, State Farm Insurance; Gabriella Flores, Cedars Sinai Medical Center; Keith Jones, Marina Martial Arts; Kathryn Lundeen, Lundeen's; Daniele Martin, Culver City Honda; Mike Racine, Hackman Capital Partners; Dane Twichell, Twichell STUDIO; architects and David Voncannon, D&E Associates.

During the festivities Chamber CEO Steven Rose honored Goran Eriksson and Scott Wyant with the President's Award for 2015 for serving nine years on the Board as well as being leaders as Governmental Affairs Chairs and being leading advocates on many issues that faced the Chamber over the last decade.

Richard A. Marcus, SendoutCards-Culver City was honored as Chamber Member of the Year by outgoing Chair of the Board Kevin Lachoff. Richard through the year was constant in his involvement in many of the networking opportunities the Chamber offers each year and his business showed that growth and commitment.
