Funeral services are planned for Syd Kronenthal at noon on Wednesday October 21 at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City.

Kronenthal the retired Culver City Parks and Recreation Director died, Sunday, at his home in the San Fernando Valley.

He served Culver City for 52 years. During that time he built the city's park system. 40 members of his staff went on to become high ranking city officials throughout the nation. His local, regional, state, national and international affiliations and awards illustrate an amazing legacy that touched the lives of millions. He was 92.
