Bidding For Good For The Sandy Segal Youth Health Center

September 24, 2015

Here is a way for all of us to obtain some great bargains planning for the holidays and help the Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center in their fundraising efforts.

Log on to Bidding For Good which is an online auction site for nonprofit groups and bid on the variety of available items. Selections include Hello Kitty items, restaurants, whale watching, comedy entertainment, auto repair, jewelry, dinner at a fire station and much more. The proceeds of the auction will support the free ongoing medical and mental health programs at the Center. The bidding will begin on September 25 and end on October 6. The website is http://www.biddingforgood.com/ssyhc2015f.

The Friends group is the fundraising arm of the Health Center which is located on the campus of Culver City High and Culver City Middle School. Children living in Culver City or attending Culver City schools are eligible to receive the free medical and mental services offered at the Health Center.

Physicals, immunizations, care for ongoing illnesses and conditions, mental health support for depression, anxiety, family or partner violence and eating disorders, are some of the services provided by the staff at the Health Center.

The Venice Family Clinic operates the facility, and the L.A. Child Development Center provides mental health services. Funding for the Center is acquired primarily through donations.

For more information about how you can help the Friends group by donating to the Health Center or contributing your time, contact Sarah at sarahssyhc@gmail.com or 310-837-3734.
