Culver's lee to sing at woman's club meeting

September 10, 2015

The Culver City Woman’s Club is pleased to have Nancy Lee perform Western music at the first meeting of the club year on Monday, September 14.

A Culver City native, Nancy’s first singing appearance was at age 15 at a Culver City Fire Department sponsored Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast with her father, Jim Gilbert, a former Culver City Fire Captain and a group of firefighters.

She continued singing, becoming a fan of Western music. Nancy has since performed throughout California and Montana and was nominated for several awards by the Western Music Association for her first album, Cowgirl Lullabye. Her second album, Cowgirl Legacy, has several original songs about her family and things near to her. It has been popular at cowboy festivals and events. Nancy will be singing at the Mojave Trail Days in October.

The Culver City Woman’s Club is a non-profit social and philanthropic organization that supports a number of local charitable organizations. It welcomes guests to its events. The performance will follow a business meeting and lunch at the Fellowship Hall of the Culver Palms Methodist Church, 4464 Sepulveda Blvd.

For details and reservations please call Carole Kanter at (310) 453-2314.
