Culver City Observer -

A motorcyclist was killed on Wednesday March 18 at 1:20 p.m. when he collided with a car in the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Overland Avenue in Culver City.

The accident closed the intersection for most of the afternoon forcing police to reroute traffic around the collision.

Although the investigation is continuing, police said they do not believe that alcohol or high speeds were involved.

According to Lt. Jason Sims of the Culver City Police Department the driver of the car stayed at the scene and although the investigation is ongoing police said speed and alcohol were not a factor in the crash.

Police have not yet released the name of the victim.
