Council Chambers Closed For Upgrading

The audio/visual systems in the Mike Balkman Council Chambers are being upgraded. The project began on December 15 and is scheduled to be completed after a 15-week construction period.

The city anticipates the project being completed by the end of March. During constructio, the Council Chambers are not available for use as a meeting location for the City Council and the four City Commissions.

City Council meetings will be held in the Rotunda Room of the Veterans Memorial Building located at 4117 Overland Avenue. The four city commissions will hold meetings in the Patacchia Room of City Hall located at 9770 Culver Boulevard.

Members of the community are welcome to attend these meetings. During the construction period the City Council and four Commission meetings cannot be broadcast live or streamed live over the Internet.

However, they will be video and audio recorded for replay on Culver City TV (Channel 35) within 48 hours of their recording.


Visit Channel 35 for the replay schedule. Also within 48 hours of the meeting the video/audio recording will be available on the City's website.

The City Clerk's Office will continue to produce the Meeting in a Minute summaries of the City Council meetings on the day after the meetings. Commission Secretaries will also continue producing Meetings in a Minute for the four Commissions.

Meetings in a Minute summaries and meeting webcasts are available on the City's website at: https://www.culvercity.org/agendas.aspx. and will be published in the Culver City Observer and online at http://www.culvercityobserver.com.
