Culver Girls Basketball Begin Season 3-0

The Culver City High girls basketball team improved their season record to 3-0 after beating St. Bernard High 77-36 at home in the third round of the Culver City / St. Mary's Tip-Off Classic on Wednesday night, November 26.

Katie Lin lit up the scoreboard for 28 points with pin-point accuracy as she nailed nine three-pointers. Kailey Tooke hit eight baskets for 18 points. Megan Yoon added 10, Kate Suyetsugu and Alex Arancibia each contributed six points. Billie Crichton, Lindsey Tanita and Gwen Machado scored four, three and two points respectively.

The Centaurs won Tuesday's second round game as they overwhelmed San Gabriel Mission 70-13. Crichton led the scoring with 22 points. Lin added 20, Suyetsugu had 10, Arancibia with six, Morgan Williams scored four, Yoon and Tanita had three each and Tooke added two points. The girls' next game is Friday, 7:00 p.m. November 28, at Culver's Del Goodyear Gymnasium.
