West Los Angeles College recently graduated its first class of medical assistant students and all who attempted the professional exam at the end of the program passed. A tremendous saving in tuition is available by completing this program at an accredited community college like West.

Medical assistants perform office administrative tasks, patient scheduling, obtain patient vital signs, administer medications, perform and interpret basic EKGs, perform injections and collect blood for testing.
