Stolen Truck Crashes into Culver Home

April 19, 2018

Los Angeles Police Department pursued a stolen truck in West Los Angeles Wednesday morning, with the chase continuing into Culver City.

The truck collided with a parked car, ultimately causing the parked car to strike a home.

The truck turned out to be stolen.

A suspect tried to flee on foot after allegedly crashing the box truck during the pursuit. The suspect, half-naked and shirtless, was taken into to custody a short distance away in the Carlson Park area.

The stolen meat truck driven by the suspect was owned by West Coast Prime Meats.

With many homes in the area undergoing remodeling, the suspect ran through a home under construction, appearing on the next street. Officers had positioned themselves in driveways, with guns drawn.

The owner of the home told the Observer that no one occupying the house had been injured.
