Democratic Party candidate Sydney Kamlager has been endorsed by the California league of Conservation Voters (CLCV) in her Tuesday, April 3 Special Election campaign for state Assembly.

Ms. Kamlager said, "I greatly appreciate the support and endorsement I've received from the California League of Conservation Voters, the non-partisan political action arm of California's environmental movement. CLCV's members work collectively to protect and enhance California's environment and the health of our communities. I intend to work with CLCV on environmental initiatives that benefit residents in communities and neighborhoods throughout the 54th Assembly District."

James Johnson, CLCV Political Director, said, "Sydney Kamlager is an environmentalist's choice for state Assembly. Sydney is the best candidate for voters in the Assembly's 54th District who care about increasing green space in their community, ensuring we have clean water and protecting neighborhoods in close proximity to active oil fields. If you care about these issues, make your voice heard on April 3rd. Vote Sydney Kamlager for Assembly."

Ms. Kamlager serves as president of the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) Board of Trustees and district director to California State Senator Holly J. Mitchell. The 54th Assembly District represents residents in South L.A., West L.A., Southwest L.A. and the City of Culver City.
