Tiggs Secures Major Endorsements By Current Councilmembers

Culver City Mayor Jeff Cooper and City Council Member Goran Eriksson have announced their endorsement of candidate Marcus Tiggs for City Council in the upcoming election.

Tiggs, a graduate of Pepperdine University and the UWLA School of Law, specializes in bankruptcy cases representing debtors, creditors and trustees, including litigation and appeals before District Court and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and a combat veteran, and is extremely dedicated to his community.

Marcus and his wife Monica have made their home in Culver City for 25 years. During that time he has chaired the city's annual Fiesta La Ballona, served two terms as a Planning Commissioner (including chair), has been on the Public Safety Citizen Advisory Committee, Culver City Unified School District Citizen Bond Oversight Committee as well as the CCUSD Community Budget Advisory Committee, the Centennial Celebration Committee and numerous other civic groups. He specializes in the ability to work as a team member with others, regardless of differing political or social views.


There are four candidates running for two open seats on the council with the election set for Tuesday, April 10.
