Hope Parrish Named Historical Society President

Shop History for the Holidays on Sunday, December 3 at the ARC

On Wednesday, January 17, 2018 former Vice President of Programs Hope M. Parrish will be taking the helm of the Culver City Historical Society as its next president.

Hope is a third-generation motion picture industry professional, following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father as a property master and set decorator. In addition, Hope's maternal grandfather was a special effects man and talented welder for the studios.

A graduate of Culver City High, Hope has worked as a property master on A graduate of such films as Django Unchained (2012), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) and Nebraska (2013).

"The Parrish family loves Culver City and has lived on Mentone Avenue for 75 years," Hope says. "I have enjoyed helping to produce programs for the Society for the past four years, and I am thrilled to become its president for the next two."

The Installation of Officers for the 2018-2020 term will be held during a reception at our next General Program on January 17, with details to come via the newsletter and email.
