Culver Teens Robbed on Ballona Creek

Ezykel Audinette, 19, allegedly robbed two Culver City youths of their cell phones on Tuesday. He claimed to have a gun. The robbery happened while the boys were walking along the side of the Ballona Creek near Overland Avenue.. Based on a detailed description by the victims Audinette was arrested Tuesday for allegedly robbing the boys. According to Culver City Police, Detective Ivan Hernandez followed up on leads and identified Audinette as the suspect. Audinette was taken into custody about 1:30 Tuesday afternoon in the 6300 block of Green Valley Circle. At the time of his arrest Audinette "was found to be in possession of a cellular phone that was taken in an additional robbery that was reported earlier in the month," police said. Audinette is being held on $50,000 bail in the jail at the Culver City Police Department headquarters. According to Police the Culver City High School security officers assisted in the investigation.
